Audio Games Programmer – AAA Games studio
A very well known and reputable games studio based in the North East are looking to take on an experienced Audio Programmer. This could be your chance to make a really loud noise in the gaming community.
For too long games audio has played second fiddle to shunting polygons on screen. Now gamers are demanding more rich, complex audio in the world of games. We want you to be part of this!
Using your killer audio knowledge, coupled with your extreme programming abilities, you will have the chance to provide the games world with the premier audio middle-ware SDK and tools solution. We are working closely with Dolby and other big hitters in the audio world and fully intend to take audio gaming to the next level.
Required Experience: Relevant degree (2:1 or above preferred), Computer Science, Audio etc.
At least 3 years experience in audio software construction, preferably gained in the games industry Three years plus relevant low-level engineering
Advanced computer skills (PC and Unix) and development experience on PC, Unix and current games consoles knowledge and programming of DSP and interactive audio playback systems.
A good working knowledge of audio production, storage and processing systems.
Two years plus DirectX experience.
