We are looking for an experienced network programmer to join my clients superb engine team. Your day to day tasks will involve developing and supporting our proprietary network solution, including:
* A reliable transport layer on top of UDP
* Synchronization primitives for client-server, peer-to-peer and replay
* Optimization, data throttling, QoS and prediction
* Matchmaking and networking services on XboxLive and Playstation Network.
You will work closely together with the rest of the engine team and the gameplay programmers who implement multiplayer support in our various games.
Requirements
* Excellent programming, debugging and optimization skills
* Solid C and C++ background
* Experience of working with networks and distributed systems
* Good problem solving and communication skills
* To be motivated and able to work without close supervision
Pluses
* Experience of performance-critical shared-world synchronization
* Familiarity with matchmaking and certification requirements.
